Odds and ends
I’ve been working on a few pieces at once. No real reason, other than I tend to get bored with one, or stuck. I’ve been keeping with the song lyrics theme. The two I’ve been working on are one based off of Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song, and one off of Jimi Hendrix’s Little Wing (which Sting did a cover of also). Little Wing will probably be done first.
On a completely unrelated (yet kind of related) note, I’ve been seeing previews for the new Tim Burton movie, Alice in Wonderland, with Johnny Depp. It looks like it’s going to be fantastic. Especially with Danny Elfman doing the score…
I love Tim Burton’s movies. These sorts of films inspire me. And Danny Elfman is in my mind one of the greatest movie composers ever.
